A practical Ferrari might sound as needless as a targa-top submarine but the Italians say their customers demanded it and that’s why this successor to the 612 boasts a remarkably spacious four seat interior and a decent sized boot wrapped inside an unusual ‘breadvan’ body. There’s four-wheel drive too, thanks to a clever Power Transfer Unit that takes the place of a conventional front diff (and would take several hours to explain), plus a brand new direct injection engine that delivers all the power and the fury that you’d expect from a Maranello V12.
